I'm sure it's a nice job but $350

Eric,
Its great you guys have a solution, and I like the fact that its aluminum and not plastic…however. $350 is steep for what it is IMO.

Stand by folks. I brought this issue to the attention of Todd over at AWE. They have something they'll be releasing soon. Have no idea on cost though.

Indeed, we're testing some rapid prototypes later this week.

Bullet points:

Carbon fiber.

Aesthetically subtle.

Far south of a $350 price point.

Stay tuned.

I'd also be interested in a temp piece that we can use for track events. I just crack the sunroof for daily use, no big deal. But at most tracks you cannot open your sunroof. So having something temporary to use would be great out on track, but it needs to be really secure.

I would trust nothing less than a bolted on piece...no way would I risk injury to myself or passengers or damaging cars behind me with something attached by double sided tape or clipped on

Most buyers are likely never to see a track..they are waiting for an aftermarket product that reduces or eliminates buffetting, esp those w/o a sunroof to pop up

Actually, I would prefer black plastic that clips on securely with the door closed to hold it on. If I can get my kid with the 3D printers attention ....maybe.

A piece of Kydex, molded to the desired shape could clip around the door frame, order up a couple of sections, grab your heat gun and go to town. 3D printer material wouldn't well suit this applicatin.
