For that price, I'd be all over some bespoke HRE's. That price is wrong or just ridiculous.

Um no. At 7300 turbo S wheels ARE worth it especially with tires. Go see if you can get HRE to make the equivalent for cheaper.

They're center locks. High maintenance hubs and difficult to remove (400+ foot pounds to remove). I'd go with HRE

HRE can make center locks too. But them being a PITA has nothing to do with value. Strength, weight, materials, complexity of the design, reliability are what determine value that can be measured and are not subjective. U have to go to the SC line to match those wheels and HRE SC are 8k alone just for wheels no tires.

CLs are a huge PITA if you track the car a lot because the torque wrench is huge and $$$$$.

Got a mail from my dealer for sets of winter wheels+tyres a couple of weeks ago. The Centerlock wheels are somewhere about $12.5k incl. winter tyres....
That's the price of a small VW Up! For a couple of winter wheels.

What a bargain...
Personally, If I lived in a climate that I needed snow tires, I think I'd park the 911 for the winter. I'd rather rather crash a VW in snow/ice than a 100k+ auto.

Wrong. Only if they have track use. I have a 2012 GTS with centerlocks and have never had an issue with them. I have the special service bulletin on the hub maintenance and it is just needed if the car is tracked, and then only after a certain number of hours..

I thought my previous posts were clear, but apparently not. I am saying that the additional maintenance requirements for CL wheels only apply to cars that are tracked. See attached maintenance information from Porsche on CL wheels.

What are you saying?
