Turbo wheels now available on Carrera models

Was just checking the U.S. configurator and I noticed that the 20" Turbo wheels showed up in the configurator. It's not on the German configurator yet.
Pretty expensive though... $9,999 for a Carrera and strangly enough also for the Carrera S.

I'm not a fan of those, and especially not for that kind of money. I do like the center hub Turbo wheels, though. But even those I wouldn't pay $10K for!

Interesting. $10k is steep for stock wheels though.

I agree on that These wheels look much better on a Macan or Cayenne. Centerlock wheels are very nice, but also very expensive.

Got a mail from my dealer for sets of winter wheels+tyres a couple of weeks ago. The Centerlock wheels are somewhere about $12.5k incl. winter tyres....
That's the price of a small VW Up! For a couple of winter wheels.

I would go Sport Techno's over the default TT ones any day of the week. On the other hand, the TTS Center Lock ones are a different story.

I'd pay 10k if it was the center lock turbo S wheels. They are completely worth it because if you think about the quality and equivalent you'd have to go through HRE. Also no one is actually going to pay MSRP you will get a discount very easily.

But regular turbo wheels no chance in hell are those worth 10k. That is a joke on porsche's part.

When you factor in that the 10K is only to substitute these for the Carrera or Carrera S wheels then its even more of a ripoff. So how much would they be if purchased separately , 15K, 16K ??

Well, there will be people that want these on their Carrera and will cough up and pay for them

Centerlock wheels are a pain. It's my understanding that the hubs must be rebuilt periodically too at great expense.

I'm sticking with my 20 inchers and I've even given up on the wheel locks. Less annoyance for me and for the techs.

I personally doubt if that price on the configurator is correct...
Normally they should be more exoensive for the base Carrera compared to the Carrera S and somehow I think $9,999 is a strange looking price. Besides that, the wheels don't show up in the German configurator and that ine has normally the new options first, or at least at the same time as the U.S. configurator.

I think this is some kind of mistake or bug. Maybe they were testing something that wasn't meant to go public already. Just guessing of course...

OTOH, the Turbo wheels are more expensive than the CL wheels if you order them as winter wheels, so a pricetag around $10k wouldn't surprise me for some reason. It's just weird that there's no difference between base Carrera and Carrera S.

I am very glad I don't usually need winter tires where I live!

If we get any ice or snow the town just shuts down for a day.
