Anyone have access to dealership computer....
BlackSpeed, thank you for the response and for taking my message in the spirit it was meant as.... i.e. just to make you feel comfortable in whatever way this pans out.
I understand your points and in many respects our attitudes are similar.
I work for myself and am entirely self reliant on income, etc. I come from a dispossessed immigrant background where frugality was engrained into our everyday activities. I appreciate fully your explanation about saving through negotiation but within reason. The point I was also making is that sometimes we can go too far and that causes an imbalance between buyer and seller which eventually leads to an unhappy conclusion.
Having stated the above, I would say that the dealer should stick to the deal they made, regardless of how they may feel about it now, and offer you their normal level of service. They are obviously falling short on that.
I think I posted a comment on your linked post that if it doesn't feel or flow right, walk away from the deal.
I do feel for you and hope it all works out well. If nothing works out, come down to TN and you can take my car for a spin!

Be careful offering me a test drive, you might regret it!
haha
I'd rather not say publicly, but I'm sure you can make an educated guess.
So, I called Porsche NA and they cannot give me any info on the car's status (no surprise). They were willing to file a complaint, obviously I declined to do so.
Then I called Porsche Financial to see if they had any info on my Credit App, they said my App has not been submitted, very strange, it's been almost 2 weeks since I gave them my info.
Having no other choice (it's been 4 days since I had contact with the dealer) I emailed the dealer again for an update. We shall see what happens.
UPDATE:
Just got a response that they're submitting my App today and checking the status of the car (about f^&%$&^$g time!). Oh the drama!

My offer stands!
so the plot thickens...
I haven't heard back from my dealer on the car's status, no surprise.
I did however get a PM from another local dealer and long story short, they have a car that's 90% of what my ordered car is. Most of the big items are there. The few notable things the car is lacking (vs my ordered car) are SPASM, Sport Plus seats, red belts and the wheels (and the embossed headrests, seems silly, but I love them).
I ordered black SportTechnos (which I think looks awesome on a black 911) The other car has the Platinum Carrera S rims (which are my least favorite). So I'd need to swap wheels at the dealership for likely Carrera Classics (my second favorite to black Technos) Also, I might pay to get the red belts, I really think it looks good on a blk/blk car.
So the new dealer seems very honest and helpful (spoke with salesman and SM), with tons of great reviews online and they're about 30 mins closer than the other dealer to me. I can have this "new" car asap since it's on the lot. The new dealer will match my other deal and this car is about $3k less than the one I ordered, so it will be a little cheaper on the lease too.
I'm giving my original dealer until Friday to get back to me, if I don't hear from them, I may go with this other car. I'm hoping to get a wheel swap and the red belts as part of the deal (I know it's a lease, but I want what I want
)
Is SPASM a deal breaker? Is it very noticeable w/o it. I really liked the lower drop stance and tighter feel...hmmmm. At least I have a possible option if my original dealer flakes.

I think this really depends on one thing: you. Do you want to order another vehicle from another dealer and wait the 3-4 months. Or, do you really really want the car now and are willing to get something you may not want or like. It's up to you.
If it were me and I was leasing and if the one on the lot was a good monthly and own and MF...I would do it. If this were a purchase and you were going to keep it a long time, I'd get what I wanted and wait.
And yes, PASM looks better, but you can always lower it yourself and get spacers to give it a wider stance.
so the plot thickens...

Firstly I'm sorry the original dealer is still being an ****!
IMO, SPASM is pretty much a MUST HAVE option. Apart from its aesthetic appeal it really affects handling. For me, not having it would be a deal breaker. I'm sorry I don't mean to be a damp squid and deflate your enthusiasm.

, only kidding. Is it even conceivable to add SPASM after the fact? Seems like it would be quite costly and not worth it, especially on a lease. I'm still considering the car, as it's pretty close to my ordered car. Plus, by the time my original dealer gets back to me, my 2 year lease might be done and I'll be ready to get into another car

I'm still scratching my head over your dealer's handling of your order.... nuts!

And some Buyers won't settle for anything less than exactly as they spec it out, since the car is very expensive. My Turbo S is a Dealer Spec Launch Car (which should be in my garage by the weekend), and has everything I wanted (sunroof in glass, Burmeister, GT Silver color). It actually has a couple options I would not have ordered myself, but a couple more options than you want is better than not getting options you want, I guess, especially since I got a 2.5% discount on the car. So at least I am not paying for them.
