It looks like I'm going to have to break out my Captain Midnight decoder ring to start deciphering some of these posts.

Judgemental much?

It takes some people longer to get used to driving a stick than others. The gentleman reached out for our help, the least we can do is give him some help.

My take: find a quiet street or empty parking lot. Practice, practice, practice. Start out only using the clutch and no gas. Feel where the engagement is and how that feels. Practice this a bunch. Then move on to adding a little gas. Don't even get out of first gear until you feel very comfortable starting from a complete stop without the car jerking...

The rest is much easier. If you can get going in a smooth manner, the other shifts will come much more naturally.

Good luck to you!

Steve

ah, you're right. Thank you! Gave it a little gas today and shifted like butter.

I was worried about burning the clutch but doesn't seem to be an issue.
