The one (car) that got away
This is the car I loved. I had one for about 20 minutes with dreams of putting a Porsche engine in it. But, alas... The other was a Shelby 35GT Mustang and that was never going to be in my price range.
Carman Gia oh yeah! Nice car!!!!
1968 Austin Sprite. Was a senior at Villanova in 1976 and my 1966 VW died and needed reliable transportation. Passed on an Austin with less than 10000 miles asking price $800. I did manage to buy restore and keep this one however

Good luck to your hawks tomorrow and thanks for bringing this to me attention!
One of these days it's going to find its way into my garage!

Definitely yes for the KG. Now if someone wants a more modern ride, I would rather go for a restoration 'a la Singer 911' than a KG-Bosxter Frankenstein creature.
Just a matter of personal taste

+1 on a Singer but dang $350K??
I was always smitten with the 993 C4S. I was in college and I could not afford it. I would go to Inskip Motors in Providence RI and look at it along with this red E36 M3 Sedan that I was in love with.
I remember when I was washing dishes at a pizzeria, one customer would always arrive with his '72 Guards Red Targa. He was selling it for $5000 and wanted at least $2500 down. Me being 16 and barely a dime had to pine and lament at that missed chance.
Wow, great story. You should get her!
When my father and mother were young they were shopping for a red 1957 T-Bird. They were already to pull the trigger when my Mom found out she was pregnant. They did not think a 2 seater was a practical car with a baby on the way. 53 years later my dad finally found his mint red T-bird and drives it around a few times a week with a big smile on his face.
In 1980 I had finally saved up enough money to buy my first car. I was desperate to get a used Triumph TR 6. I spent months looking for one I could afford. I never did find one in my budget. A couple months ago I saw one the for the first time in at least a decade and it just melted my heart. I don't think it has to be a TR 6 anymore but some day I need to buy a proper British sports car.

You have great taste in cars my friend! I can't wait to see your GT3. When is it due?
