Stealerships
In the end bought a new S Cab which is a replica of my 2006 color wise- got 10K off msrp 7% the day before the end of the month- up to then the best was 7k off.
Made a new friend with the GM who did the deal on the phone and is pushing a fall GT3 to me.
You never know.

Get ready to see discounts go away. Porsche is cutting back on allocations. Right now I'm finding it hard to order cars or even do dealer trades since I don't have anything to trade with.
Maybe because they are wrapping up 2014? I find it pretty hard to believe Porsche would start making fewer cars. While I am sure they are pushing hard on Macan sales for the upcoming year, those are built in a different factory.
Note that rossii is talking allocations to the dealers not the number of cars produced.
Many areas are getting new Porsche dealerships and the cars for those dealerships will be allocated from other dealers share. Especially in the 911 range.
In Greater Vancouver, where we had one dealer (and essentially no discounting) we will have a second dealer opening next fall. Then we might see discounting but as the new dealer's first year allocation is very little perhaps not.

Maybe in some areas, but not certainly in the metro areas where I am (LA and SF). The only other reason I could see would be Porsche directing more vehicles to China. Either way, I don't expect to see a change in pricing as there already more 911s on lots than dealers can move (except the GT3).

I'm actually in Fremont, I can see allocations for all dealers and incoming cars. The allocations are very low right now I currently have "1" 991 s coupe and no 991 c2's. We haven't been this low in the last two years. Believe me Porsche cares how much cars are sold for and this is their way of controlling it.
Could it be Porsche is attempting to lessen any impact of the GT3 problems??.. Dry up supply to keep prices strong meanwhile focus on producing next years cars with more time for quality control??
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I know I have complained about this before but.... Do you guys think that the dealers are getting more difficult to negotiate with? Are times that difficult or are they selling enough cars that they don't really care? I have called a couple of dealers actually outside of Atlanta and they are really difficult to deal with. Used 2013 911s with 2-5k miles they are only offering 10% off original MSRP. I told them that those kind of prices are offered on brand new cars. Offending cities: Cincinatti, and several in Florida.

Get a reasonable price, and move on fellas!

I'm going to throw something out here: where do you guys get off presuming that a dealer shouldn't make any money on your car? Oh sure, they can be a greedy bunch, and you need to be careful and not pay more than you have to. But you've got to leave some meat on the bone. These guys have cars in inventory for us to drive, nice buildings to sit in while we look at colors and leathers and such (for those of us who order) and although the sales department does not subsidize the service department, you can't have one without the other. So we need to keep these guys around, and in order for that to happen, they need to make a profit to pay salaries, have inventories and repair our cars.
This ain't a Honda dealer where they sell 40 cars a day. They can't make it up in volume.
