Squeaky Brakes

My brakes have started to squeak a lot when breaking at only low speeds. Its kind of embarrassing when people are staring at me not for the car but for the sound the brakes are making. Has anyone had this problem and what should i do? My car only has 6k miles and I don't drive the car that hard. Does the dealer fix this? or do i need to buy new brakes?

I'm guessing this is your first Porsche/performance car? This is very common in these types of cars due to the performance compounds used in the brake pads, and the build-up of dust between the pad and rotor. The easiest way to temporarily stop the behavior is to stop HARD from high speed to get rid of the dust. Do this on an empty stretch of road or an exit ramp with nobody behind you, and the faster you stop from the better. You really need to be going at least 70 to make it effective, and doing it a couple of times (or more, and from higher speeds) won't hurt either.

In general, the more city/stop and go driving you do, the more quickly the problem will return. When it does, repeat the same steps above. If you don't track your car, or do much spirited driving on the street, then you could consider switching to a high ceramic content pad.

Or remove the Pagids pads that were secretly installed when you weren't looking.
Yeah the squeaky breaks come with the car. They will come and go.

While a little squeaking now and then is "normal" if it continues and the hard breaking from a high speed doesn't work, consider having the brakes looked at by the dealer. I had the same problem on a Panny 4S and there were some "scratches" that were causing the squeaking. They changed the pads gratis and problem was solved.
