We are going to make more people mad as we keep making fun of this
Like someone else said, we are all petrolheads and it is not cool when cars get wrecked, but there is more than 1 degree to humor... And more seriously, what happened to plastic and metal stuff is nothing. The real issue here is to think that you could have had families in the museum when it happened. Any car can be replaced, a life can not.

Good job on the avatar BTW! We have had a couple of rants about posting political jokes and views on the forums lately (especially yesterday on 'the other 991 forum'), I hope sexy pics won't be targeted next. They also are not first degree!

I would never make fun even at the destruction of 8 Yugo's, however as a engineer in a previous lifetime a simple check of soil conditions and underground water table/flows might of at time of construction called for regular monitoring?? With the 100 year winter in eastern part of the US, who knows if that didn't impact it? I will however stick by statement ...the last engineer retired in 1968 (junior year at MSU)

As for the avatar, some see beauty some see sex some see exploitation....this barista at the Foxy Lady on I5 probably doesn't give a rats *** either way😄

Oh my!!! Sure guys, there are things that people can not joke about, like Religion, Politics, the Office of the President... and cars! (just in case Sanibel is reading this one. I still have not digested his post on the sister thread on Rennlist: "Who gloats over something like this but a bunch of *ssholes? What a bunch of j*rks!").

Do you REALLY think this thread is a matter of moral indignation? I hope you do not read the newspapers or you may well be blowing up a fuse every other page.
Too bad, a couple of nice collectibles have been destroyed. Yes, it is regrettable, but is it a crime to crack a few of jokes? Some of the forum members have called it a lack of maturity. A true lack of maturity is not being able to make the difference between what is important and what is not.

Being mad because someone made fun of a few damaged cars is not being mature. It would on the other hand be legit to get mad because incompetent people have improperly designed and maintained the building in question and that actual human beings, not cars, could have been severely injured.

Keep things in perspective and move on please.

MKW is infamous around these parts
that entire part of Kentucky is undermined by caverns ...no one can determine where any of it could give way ...you'd have to permanently evacuate a big chunk of the state to avoid something like this
and if we evacuated flood plains, hurricane areas, tornado areas, earthquake areas, tsunami areas, etc., .....nothing is left

In Florida we actually have sink hole insurance....most days these are not even reported unless someone, regrettably, is injured or worse.

My brother has a ZO6. It's pretty intense; he's gone 10.8 at Atco with drag radials. That being said, I still can't get used to the new look of the C7: especially from the rear.
It has been difficult here in JerZ to get any seat time. And, if the sand, snow and salt are not bad enough, the potholes are big enough to swallow 8 corvettes (had to keep with the theme of the thread.) I am not sure I will be willing to risk the wheels and tires on our roads for quite a while - insurance not withstanding.

I am in the minority when I say I don't love the new vette's looks - especially the Camaro rear end. But it's driving dynamic has improved and it is a great deal! They have my admiration for that!

Hang on, spring is coming!

All,
I certainly meant no offense - if you have read my posts, you should know that that is not me. As nobody was hurt, I found humor in a sink hole at a museum. That it happened to Chevy, was secondary. Someone posted a picture of a Porsche in a lake with the "who is the U-boat commander" line from Risky Business and I still find that funny.

It is, in all respects, yesterday's news. Let's get back to cars!
