Possible to completely turn off psm?

Has anyone figured out how to completely disable PSM? When I press the button for a couple of seconds, it says PSM is off. But it isn't completely. It still applies brakes to straighten out the car as soon as I lift the throttle mid-drift. It doesn't interfere if u stay on throttle. It bothers me deeply even though I don't do this often.

From the porsche website:

For an even more dynamic experience, you always have the option to deactivate PSM. It is automatically reactivated, for your safety, only if you brake harder and either of the front wheels (in SPORT PLUS mode, both of the front wheels) requires ABS assistance. ABS and ABD, however, remain active at all times.

So I don't know if you are drifting if that is activating ABS, or is another condition in addition to ABS that will reactivate PSM..

I do find it interesting, that it reactivates itself automatically.. I've always just presumed that deactivation of stability management systems (not 911's but cars in general) were related to situations where there was a malfunction and you switched it off for safety reasons, although I can see how it might be useful for performance reasons..

But if my presumption if one reasons it can be switched off is related to safety I'm surprised it comes back on automatically. But who knows maybe if it detects a fault itself in the PSM it will stay off..

Forgot to add that this was not the case in my 997s. PSM would stay off completely in same scenario.
