Psm/Esc
But there was a guy in a thread a week ago talking about how he used it to make it easier to drift the 991. But who knows if he was blowing smoke as people around here talk a lot of nonsense.
Yes it will make the car drift/spin a lot easier if you turn off the PSM. I wouldn't recommend it unless you are on a closed course. These cars can bite you in the *** if you're not careful.
Maybe Ill try applying the parking brake then full throttle which will auto release the brake and start the takeoff at a higher rpm, perhaps like a pseudo launch control with PSM staying on.
Turning PSM off certainly makes it easier to drift. However even in Sports Plus mode with PSM on it will allow a higher drift angle (compared to without Sport plus) before it tries to straignten the car.
Turning PSM off allows an even larger drift angle. However note that if you brake enought to trigger ABS, PSM is automatically activated and it'll try to straighten the car again.
That's what we learnt at Camp4. Unless you're trying to drift on the street I see no reason to turn PSM off.

Yeah I remember watching a video where they were they had some professional drivers comparing handling with and without the stability control. I think this was a 996 or maybe 997, but they would run various high speed maneuvers with and without. And it was dramatic even on the previous generations. Not really interested in finding out myself..
