Regret Color
I've had most of the colors over the years, as well and I have found white to be one of the easiest colors to care for and keep looking good.

The white on the 991 is very white. It does pick up dirt, but it's such a easy color to take care of. It doesn't look dirty until you come up close. The dirt in your picture looks like it coming from a specific place such as a parking lot. Is there somewhere you park that's especially dirty or dusty? Black hides dirt, but can be hard to take care of and shows swirls the most. Silver is a good compromise, but if you love white, then there's no substitute.
I had 2 white 997tt's in a row and thought the car was beautiful in white. After being in a Pana4 for 2 years decided to get into a color I always wanted and thought I'd never buy. The Guards Red. Don't have a feel for how dirt prone it will be but I'm a Zaino fanatic so I'll set it up so a light spray or wash and a detail spray will keep it looking good. You have a great looking car but if you don't love it then it's time for an auto divorce. Good luck.
A little bit of dirt and you're ready to part with it?! Don't be so quick... other colors may not show little bits of black dust and threads in your picture, but you'll get a hell of a lot more dirt, swirl marks, and other stuff that'll turn you off.
Get the car cleaned every week, maintain a nice coat of wax on it, and touch it up with detailing spray every now and then. Trust me, the car itself looks clean; it's your attention to (the smallest) details that turns you off.

I love my white cars but agree with you totally . In fact I had posted about it years ago . At that time I had a black Turbo and a white 997.2 C2S. What I observed was that with the black car most people expected it to be dirty so if it was actually clean it really was noticed . With the white car most expect it to be clean so even the tiny smudge gets noticed instantly .
Thanks for the input. This is my 4th 911 and my 2nd turbo. Other colors include blue, red, black, and silver. Those who read too much in these posts have it all wrong- this is a great car, one of the best cars I've ever owned. The white in the current 991tt is stunning. My only point was that compared to all the other 911s that I've owned with the various colors I've never noticed them to pick up dirt even after one drive. It is only in the rear that the dirt accumulates- this maybe from the aerodynamics of the current car?
Agate Grey is the best color to hide dirt. BTW matte colors are superb.
Shiny colors show dust because dust is matte and paint is shiny so the paint looks dull when dusty. With the Frozen Grey on my BMW I can go weeks without washing it and it still looks clean. It's really mind blowing. When my Agate Grey 911 comes I may wrap it with a matte clear bra.

You're correct about the rear of the car getting coated with grime very quickly. I carry a bottle of club soda along whenever I go to one of my car club's cruise nights. I pour the club soda over the rear of the car and then apply some detail spray with a clean microfiber cloth. This system works wonders and only takes a minute or two.
I always carry a bottle of club soda because it effectively removes bird droppings, which should always be removed ASAP.
(Shake the bottle and use your thumb to regulated the spray when removing the droppings. This is much better than wiping the grit around on the paint.)

And more quaffable than my usual Z6 spray, haha.
I second the notion of keeping the car heavily waxed/sealed and then rinse with the CR Spotless. I just purchased the CR (after owning countless black cars) and so far so good! Never owned a matte finish, but I think it makes sense that it hides dust and dirt, but it also hides the shine
Each their own, I love black, DD or garage queen--always my first choice!
