No sport chrono a deal breaker?
I would check to see if they can retrofit the SC. I know it's available on the 997's.

I agree with Haku. At this price point and with this car, you shouldn't have to compromise at all. If you get a car without a certain option that you've had your heart set on, you'll constantly second guess yourself and regret that you didn't hold out for the "right" car. I happen to have spec'd my car with both SC (whether or not I can feel the difference with the dynamic engine mounts, I'll never know, but I like the throttle response of Sport + and the rev matching and I think the stopwatch looks kind of cool) and PSE (sounds amazing).

I'm going to get a lot of hate from the folks that paid for it, but I think SC is stupid and a waste of money on a manual car. I also think that PSE is stupid. You want loud, then buy a Corvette. Or put on aftermarket pipes.
It's really not going to affect resale pricing at all. The lack of those options may make the car a little more difficult to sell, as people like yourself try to find the highest optioned car that they can. This becomes less and less important as the car gets older.

I don't think that what you said is wrong, or inconsistent with most of the comments here. If the SCP is an option that you will miss and regret not having, objectively worth it or not, than wait for a car that has it. If not, I agree that the lack of it may make the car a bit harder to sell, and it will impact the price - probably less and less as time goes on. As for its real value, it is somewhat in the eye of the beholder. I have never used the launch control. The magnetic engine mounts and Sport+ are cool and I have used them occasionally and have enjoyed them. I also like the clock in the middle of the dash as a style feature. Worth the money? Would I do it again in the next 911? Likely.
I know I am in the minority, but I also see little reason for the PSE - if it does not also increase performance it is just an expensive noise maker-JMHO!
I completely disagree with the suggestion that the absence of SC makes a DD car incomplete. It is, in the end, an expensive stopwatch. Apart from the timer, it offers three things: 1. Launch control, which is a toy (and I'd be wary of buying a used car that employed it a whole lot, not to mention extra tire wear); 2. Sports Plus on a PDK car, which is also mostly useless in a DD but preferred for the track; and, 3. Dynamic engine mounts, another track specific need. If you think it does anything you can discern on a DD you are fooling yourself.
For optimum handling, I'd strongly urge SPASM and PDCC. Together these options both lower the car by 20mm and improve cornering. Of course, even a base car is extraordinarily competent, and if it is your first 911 experience, a better first entry point, cost-wise.
PSE provides endless auditory pleasure, and a bonus option, but its absence should not be considered a deal breaker in a used car deal. It can be added and fully integrated with the car.
And finally, a C4 does entice with its wider stance and rear light strip, but unless you live in a winter like environment and will buy winter tires it adds more cost to your purchase.
The resale on a third hand car, when you sell your used purchase, will be abysmal. It will appeal to the tweakers and, as I think about it, perhaps they will want SC. Ugg!
Good luck.

I found a really nice 2013 C4S for sale for my DD. It has ALL options I want/need but NO sport chrono and No sport exhaust, deal breaker?
How important are these items to have regarding resale, enjoyment etc..
I had a 2008 997 Turbo and I know on the turbos NO sport chrono was a no no, not sure about the C4S though.
Thanks!
