Bluetooth streaming?
Yep, build up a 32g stick with what I want then move it to the jukebox internal to PCM ..
If you just play off of USB keep it smaller otherwise you have to wait for it to search and index every time..
It's a bit clumsy copying with the PCM.. But it works nicely once in jukebox..
To bad Porsche doesn't document very well the capabilities.. But once you figure it out its good..
Don't waste my time with pandora or spotify as the audio quality is crap..

I actually notice than when using Bluetooth via my iPhone, the balance is off and sounds very bright.
Otherwise I have a 64gb microSD card in a USB adapter living in the glovebox, playing on the Jukebox.
I also have Kenu's for all my cars for activated iPhones, and use Nite Ize Steelie magnets for my older iPhone that serves as a music/radar display for my V1.

I use my iPod in the glove box. My order for best to worst quality music sources are:
CD
iPod (usb in glove box)
FM
XM
Bluetooth (iPhone)
For me, Bluetooth streaming is very poor quality but, it can be done.

This also does not account for the actual bluetooth stream from your phone to the car. Some are well below the max stereo stream of approximately 320kbps.
So CD or wav is best (disc, stick or drive); apple lossless is next; then all the rest. The other high quality alternative is MLP encoded discs which are very, very limited.
I use AL (apple lossless) thru the ipod and the Burmester. IMHO there is a noticeable difference (worse) when going to lower bitrates. I would prefer flac, AL, or wav straight into the Burmester DAC because the system can use the difference in bitrates (positively). However it is too much of a pain to use Porsche's USB input for large sticks or drives so I go with what I think is the next best solution.
Thanks that's good advice.
I custom ordered a Boxster S with Burmester but at the last minute bought the 911. When the Boxster came in the dealer had both waiting for me to test drive. I thought the Burmester was pretty dam good for an audio system from the factory.
I have the Bose system and will go with your recommendation to get the most out of it.

This may be a dumb question, but if you have an iPhone why do you also have an iPod connected to the car. Wouldn't you just have all your music on your iPhone?
Try a 5.1 DVD, make sure you go to the options and choose 5.1. It may go to the top of your list.
Where exactly is that seting? I've searched but can't find it.
