Noticed something today

I have S-PASM, and was wondering if anyone else noticed this. I'm going to assume it's normal, since the behavior is pretty consistent.

The rear wing deploys higher if I have the sunroof open. Going around the same speed, if I close the sunroof, the spoiler drops a bit. I am only able to tell because with the sunroof closed, I only manage to see a bit of the spoiler where as once the sunroof opens up, I can see a good chunk of the spoiler in the rear view mirror. Can anyone else confirm this behavior?

Yes. I haven't actually seen it (don't have my car yet), but from what I understand in layman's terms, the spoiler adjusts to aerodynamic changes produced by the open sunroof.

Yes, I read in this forum that the rear spoiler deploys higher when the sun roof is opened. There's even a 6speed member who wanted to know it be programmed to be deployed permanently in that manner.

Somehow, Porsche should brag more about all features and gizmo's in their cars.
Did you for instance notice that the position of the wind deflector (that pops up when you open the sunroof) changes with speed too?
As a nerd and petrolhead, I would love the car to come with a booklet/CD/flashdrive showing illustrations of all the cool technical features that we do not even notice, even though they may be buried somewhere in the Owners' manual...

I may have misunderstood the question in the other thread, then. Does this also apply to non-SPASM cars? I'll try this on my way home.

That feature has been on the Porsche web site since the 991 appeared. The action is quite visible from the drivers seat. Why else would anyone want Sport PASM?
