Escort 9500CI Upgrade, opinion?

I just priced out upgrade to the new LaserShifter Pros on my 5 month old install and parts alone are over $900. The kit includes two for front and two for rear even though I like many others that have a single rear shifter. Opinion??

To me, K40 newest diffusers are among the best. Whatever you decide, compare it with K40. I know that is not the popular opinion, but after much research, that is what I just installed. But to each their own. Just be aware of the states that do not allow diffusers.

I also had the all the laser testing done, and received technical info of all guns they protect against, plus some others that are not available, yet, in the US. I do know, for my experiences, the latest K40 G5 diffused all of them. Other manufactures did not. But again that is my findings. I have zero affiliation to any brand, my installer handles many brands, and mostly sells Escort, as that is what the dealerships prefer. You may want to contact K40 and speak with them for more specifics too.

These guns are in Several States already and have a heavy presence in Georgia, Florida, NY State and are in several other states but not as heavily. Its not only the one manufacture who already has close to 2000 guns accross the US but other Gun manufactures are starting to experiment with this new technology.
I am not going to debate it with you. I don't sell of these products, have absolutely no affiliations, so have nothing to gain. I do agree K40 had a questionable capability with their older technology.

I had many choices, price is not a factor to me. I studied them all. II personally witnessed the tests in person with the latest and older more common guns. No marketing. The G5 protected against all the guns available today, and then some; meaning guns outside the US that may be coming to the states in the future. The G5 also provided an error message on the gun that was aimed at the front of the license plate areas. I seem to recall Escort provides a different message that is more telling to the officer.

Purpose of the forum is to share personal experiences. Some will agree, others will not, others may appreciate a different prospective.

These are not international guns. The company than manufactures these is right from the US and last we were informed they have sold 2000 or so into the market.

Thanks, would like to do so, but not near east coast.

I suggest you contacting K40 technical service with the specifics of your results. Perhaps you did not have the proper brain installed to communicate with the G5 diffusers.

I do know, when used one diffuser, depending aim of the gun, it did not deflect. It was because with one my cars shape, a 458, I needed two diffusers in the front. Which esthetically looks better too.

As mentioned with all the guns it worked flawlessly. I also have another car with the 9500 set up and prefer this one more. Again to each their own.

I had the K40 with Diffuser on my 07S.
Have the same on my 20114S.
2 years and 30k miles on the 07, even drove south and to LA and back.
16 months and 25k miles on the 2011.
Including Balt to LA and back.
Drivin above the speed limit most of the time.
And loaning both to 2 of my brothers who I know drove it like a rental.
I have come across Laser, Once....down my local street, 30mph speed limit school zone.
Radar is more my worry.
I think laser takes too much effort for the cops.
Why do laser, when you can do radar and eat doughnuts in the cruiser...and hit your quota!!...Lol!
