991 Chrome Grille Kit

I just received an email from Suncoast and finally the Chrome Grille (like the 911_50) is available....

I'd like to know everybody's opinion on it. I totally love it on the 911_50, and was waiting for it, but honestly, I do not like any kind of mod to my car. I respect Porsche's designers and can't really change the way they designed the 991...

I should have two of them, one with the grille and one without it...

How hard are they to swap out? Maybe you can do one car with alternating 2 grilles instead? ;-)

I like it but think it belongs on the 50.

I just did it on my black 991C2S Coupe- looks awesome. Had dealer install - cost $60. Parts were like $110. Looks awesome. Would not do the rear.

Does the bumper have to come off in order to install the grills?

Yes same as stealth pilot - they're simply blades - the just snap into place. The tip of them as you ca see in the picture is chrome - looks great on any color !!

I think he was talking about the door edge guards post not the oem product. Why would a dealer charge 60 for install if it was a snap on?

No - it's 4 blades - they are available from Suncoast. I would attach a link but am on my iPad.
