Retrofit TPMS?

My 991 C2 didn't come with TPMS, i spoke to my dealer and he said it wasn't possible to retrofit, has anyone done this through a third party?

There are products that work with smartphones.

Really? I thought it was standard across all lines of Porsche.

Over here its standard on all "s" models and "4" models, but not on the base.

I believe in the us all new cars are required to have tpms of some type.. Usually for most cars it is an indicator that illuminates if pressure is more than 10 pct low.. I think that kind of system probably doesn't require higher cost sensors as necessary to monitor the exact pressure..

I would have thought Porsche would have that on any model delivered in the world as a basic safety feature.. Go figure

I had great luck with the below system on my 996. I think the rims have to be compatible for TPMS though so double check that.

I think our cars comply with European standards, i dont think they get it over there either on the base, unless they option PSM. Thats what the dealer told me.

Apparently they get the third radiator but no TPMS. Porsche giveth and Porsche taketh away.
