Thanks for the writeup for the front brake pad replacement. The front calipers on my 991.1 base Carrera has a spring type clip above the wear sensor. Does it just pop off?

nope you leave it in when you change the pads. It helps hold the pads in place ( pushs them against the retaining pins).
In the beginning of this DIY set of instructions, it says to put a jack stand under the rear cross member. There is a photo of the rear suspension & under structure, but it does not show the jack stand & where the proper placement of it should be. You don't mean a single jack stand under the middle of it, on the car's center line, do you? That doesn't sound like that would be safe.

Place two jack stands under the rear crossmember just to the center of the suspension arm mounts.

Some cars have inboard and outboard pad sensors. if you had outboard sensors the cable would be held in place with that spring. you can add outboard sensors by replacing the cable with the dual sensor cable/
Great job. I am doing mine now on my 991S, but I thought I would let you know you I have spacers but you can see my anti seize(silver) on contact area's
applied your ant seize in the wrong location. it needs to be applied to the contact area's and nothing contacts where you put it..
