Campaign WE02 - instrument cluster software upgrade
Haven't checked the configurator lately; perhaps for a small fee you can order the PEDAV option (Porsche engine display actual values).
Sorry if my post was confusing.
The presented temperature is not completely constant at 194. The gauge shows the coolant temperature warming up, as always, from a cold start. After warm-up, it shows 194 as the constant steady state value. It used to show 200 as the constant steady state value after warm-up.
I have no idea what the actual steady state temperature is now, or what was prior to the software upgrade.

Incidentally they updated the PCM to version 4.73, so far I can tell it is quicker and the sound system is better balanced. Aux bluetooth works again, but I was told it will only work when the iPod is not connected to the USB jack.
My Service Tech called on this last August during my 1st oil change because my car was the first he saw with this problem. Told me they were working on this fix, but recommended I wait until my next oil change (end of this month) to apply the fix and reset my service clock. Reason being. . . . The fix will reset the clock as if the vehicle is new. For some reason they can't (or aren't going to) reset my service clock beginning at my build completion/delivery date. At least this way, the clock will be set at the time of an oil change service and won't recommend or warn me of unnecessary service needed (since I only drive 2000-3000 miles per year). Hope this makes sense.

I'll get the specifics in a couple weeks when I get my oil changed and let you know (if someone on 6Speed doesn't educate us first). I'm not too worried about it, as my dealer is pretty good about notifying me of service needs, well in advance, and educating me on what my next service will require. The way I drive the car, unless there is a problem, my dealer will only see the car 1x per year.
Update....
I took my car in for this update yesterday and my service advisor told me that Porsche had "suspended" the update and that it would not be performed. He was unable to explain why it was suspended and whether or not it would be replaced with a new version or reactivated at a later date.

194 degrees Fahrenheit equals 90 degree Celsius. Made in Germany.
Had mine done last week. I now have the 194 constant temp reading, BUT I have also lost the message that the chassis is in sport mode. The "Sport" and/or "Sport Plus" still appears on the steering but not on PCM.
One thing I noticed on my work order is "70POZ01 Porsche Special Program Vehicle." No idea what that's all about, but I do feel sort of special now.
