Painted Air Vents

I am curious if it is possible to have the black vent covers over what I presume are the radiators in the front painted to match the car. A neighbor has a Cayenne TTS that has a fully painted front grill area. Can we do this on the 991?

You can order the car this way or probably have a good body shop paint them.

One look at the configurator would have given you the answer...

Option CNF "Air intake grills painted" $810.00 (You can choose the color yourself. Standard is matching with exterior paint, but other color is possible at no cost)

dont do it ..it will be blasted by the incoming pebbles and rocks ... a Cayenne is higher off the road , plus on the base Boxster as an example of Porsche color hierarchy, body color is the default for front grills and broadcasts oncoming " cheaper model " vs the Boxster S 's in black, like all 991 models

+1 I don't like either, unless you paint it high gloss black, together with some other parts that normally are black plastic.
But I agree with MKW... It won't hold long and gets damaged easy.

You can always buy the chrome covers to go over the black and make these look like the 50th anniversary edition.
