Bumper protection for 991
So the car I picked up was on the dealer lot which is why I got a great deal - however it doesnt have the front and rear parking sensors
Does anyone have any idea what kind of bumper protection I can use?
I have already arranged for Xpel film protection on my front facia and mirrors
I looked at bumper bully, bumper guard etc but nothing seems to specific to the shape of the 991 and they look ugly
I want something sharp just like my car
Any options or ideas? TIA

I have heard good things about it - what I am worried about is NYC parking stamps on my bumper
I also bought the dent / ding protection but they do not cover the bumpers so I am not sure how to protect from idiots who will park in front and behind me

Bumper protection on 911's has be likened to sacrilege!!
The bumper is flexible enough to withstand minor knocks when parking.
Most cars nowadays have their bumpers integrated into the body work, but it just seems more severe with the 911 as the front disappears before your eyes.
Xpel the entire front, including fenders, mirrors and headlights, and you'll be just fine.
My bigger problem is avoiding scraping the front on the concrete slabs in parking spaces..

Front and rear parking sensors won't protect you from someone tapping your car when parking in a tight spot. If you get hit, you might have to get a PDR guy to fix it or take it to a body shop.
You can install dashcams with a parking mode or motion sensor that will record if someone hits your car while parked. The newest Blackvue is dual channel and records both the front and rear. That will catch someone hitting your car and you can get them to cover the expense of repairs.

I have this on both my cars just because of NYC parking. I've gotten a lot of crap from friends to take it off cuz it's so bulky and ugly, but it's staying just in case of front walls I misjudge or the .01% chance I take it into the City. If I ever have to park in in a garage in the City, I'll see if tipping $10-20 to leave it in front will work.

Yes, I installed one back in 2010 and used it for a year (until I sold the car) without any problem. Very simple device and looks great without any holes.
