If you are a member of any PCA Region then normally you can participate in any other Region's events (at least that's the deal in most of PCA Regions). We welcome people from other PCA regions to our events and I've been to many at other Region's events and welcomed royally.

The PCA is probably the most prolific club for Porsche owners and may well be your best bet. If you are considering joining, find out your nearest chapters and more importantly check out the type of members that are involved in it. From my experience some clubs can be overloaded by a type of member (older fuddy duddies, etc) which can greatly influence the emphasis they put on social, autocross, or tech activities. So my advice would be to visit your local chapters and feel out one that best suits your needs.

I joined the PCA Maverick region down here in Dallas. They have great get togethers, DE's and auto cross events. Also you get a discount at Porsche service and parts(like 10%).

While PCA events are open to PCA members from any region, the busiest regions often have waitlists to popular events. In such cases, "in-house" members get first priority. In our experience, MetroNY and NNJR events book fast. I agree with the comments above and visit. Also review the regional website calendars and compare which events appeal to you best.
