A Little Assistance Ordering a M-B GL450 SUV, Please

I'm shopping for a 2015 M-B GL450 for my wife which would be an ordered car, not out of a dealer's inventory. When I ordered my 911 last year, I didn't do enough due diligence and only got about 2.5% off when I could've gotten about 7% off so I'm not going to make that same mistake with this car. I'm going to order either in Miami or Fort Myers, depending on where I get the best deal but before beginning negotiations, would like to be armed with info so if you've ordered a Mercedes recently, preferably a GL-series, and can tell me what I should expect off, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks.

I bought a gl from the lot past September. In the Houston area, the prices ranged from invoice to 3% off msrp, not a lot to work on given the limited allocations. We got a decently loaded car, including distronic plus (which works amazingly well) leather and package ww 20" wheels.
If we were to order would be msrp. I believe its heavily dependent on the area and more positive experiences are to come to the thread
Great car, would go again for it, no regrets not getting the 550. if anything for a little over 2k you run a renntech tune and it will be churning close to the gl63

j080808 is infamous around these parts
Just turned in a 2012 off 2 year lease, best vehicle we ever owned. 2012 was right before the refresh, and since the next model year won an award, they have been scarce.

We leased at just the right time, USAA's car buying service (Zagg) had it 4k off sticker and USAA had a 8k manufacturer rebate. The residuals were high and the money factor was low. I got over 12k off sticker without even asking. When in the finance office, the guy looked puzzled by the numbers...we turned in a ML350 and the lease payments dropped when going to the GL with zero down. 6 months earlier, the same lease was twice the amount, leasing is all about timing.

I'm sure the above doesn't help present day, other than to say the GL is fantastic and priced accordingly. When looking for a replacement earlier this year (because lease turn in) they were very scarce, went with a diesel Grand Cherokee instead. Other than the size, my wife loves it as much as the GL and she thought the GL was the best ever.

Good luck.

I'm going to place an order for '15 MY GL550 for my wife ( she doesn't let go her dear GX470). If you can wait for few months (aug/sep) delivery, you can get '15 GL450 as they start '15 MY in July and taking orders now.

'15 GL450 has a V6 TT engine (same Hp and same/higher torque), which is far more fuel efficient than today's de-tuned V8 TT...FYI.
