Tint and LED Clear side makers done today. Tint really made the car pop.

I drove a white launch T4S and here are my observations: 1) Not sluggish and especially not in sport or sport plus, low revs just need a touch more right foot. 2) Wind noise at 85mph no worse than cab and any small amt of thud is primarily with windows up and gone with them down. Livable regardless. 3) back storage slot lights up and quite nice 4)dealer sold all 5 and may get 2 more 5) Alacantra looks great on roll bar 6) extremely solid with no squeaks or rattle as described by some 7) visibility issue requires mirrors being very wide but again not bad 8) exhaust sounds louder than coupe inside without sport exhaust on My only question is whether to tint. It has a unique greenish tint hue all around and the low level of tint looks great as is. Not sure but darkening tint more might make it look too solid. Looking for opinions!

 

i'll double check but i believe it was 30% on side and rear window. The front windshield is 70%

 

I agree especially with more right foot on take off.

 

You did the front windshield??? What state do you live in? Is that legal anywhere?

Planning on a clear bra for the front?

 

i'm in CA windshield along with driver and passenger are technically illegal but i've been tinting the front windshield on my cars for years. Knock on wood I've never had any issues.

It goes in thursday for clear bra.

There are a couple of 991 Targas at my local dealer. I would much prefer the roof bar to be body color matching. Other than that, it's a decent looking 911. Personally, I'd probably would choose a C4S panoramic roof over Targa.

Also, there was a white Macan Turbo. It's been sitting in the lot for 3+ weeks. I prefer the looks of Cayenne GTS/Turbo over Macan

I too was impressed by the alcantara roll bar interior.

 

cardood, your car looks awesome with the tint! Looks darker than 30% to me (looks more like 20%), but may be an issue with the lighting or the pics. Either way, it looks fantastic!

 

so if anyones looking for a "like new" Targa with 400 miles on it i know where you can get one.

at the end of the day i really loved the look of the targa but really wished it was faster and sounded a bit meaner.

ended up replacing it with a new turbo. the color is pretty incredible in person. never new the story behind "Aetna Blue" till today.
