. LoL!!
Truth be told, I really only got it so I could put X51 on my license plate.
I didn't intend to get it but I fell in love with the 50th and bought it off the dealers lot as is.
Does having it make any difference to my daily driving? No.
But knowing that it's there is sorta nice! Brrrrrraaaaaaaap!

Exactly, if Porsche made a X51 badge for the cars, we could all buy it for $500 and put in on our cars and hope everyone thinks we have a giant p*#is.

By that logic, no one should buy 911s powerkit or not.
This is what made me decide to get it. I only wanted a manual and couldn't get a GT3. I still can't get a GT3, so that makes even more compelling. My C2S actually cost about $4,000 more than the way I would have speced a GT3. I really need to make a video of a Powerkit car versus a non-Powerkit car from say a 2nd gear roll. I'm certain that would change some opinions after watching the X51 car walk away from one without.

Not sure it will make anything "bigger" tho!

From Suncoast site:

I am betting no GTS until late 2015 or 2016, porsche doesn't need to do anything special to sell 991s right now. Typically they introduce an enhanced model late in the cycle, before the new model is introduced to help move product. BMW did this with the m3 and created the competition version. You can certainly wait but it could be a while.
I could see late 2015 ... There's a lot happening with the 991.2 as it is. I'm with you.
The likely scenario for the 2015 Cayenne GTS too. Late 2015 ...

I was not going to consider X51 until I read your write up on your beast. I was also going to look at a base GT3 (within $5K of a well equipped C2S) but there was no allocation. All existing inventory at the dealerships are loaded with options out of nowhere. At those prices, one should consider the turbo. Then again, I don't think I would drive a GT3 or Turbo as DD or to work.

If you go by the 997.2 S to GTS and 981 S to GTS, killer means exactly 15 hp, which you really don't feel.
Apart from aesthetic changes in body, isn't the GTS just a pre-packaged option car?
You can spec a 991 to have every option and thus be "more" than a GTS
I am looking at a Cayman GTS and it seems that way in terms of the specs.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
