C2s on the way...

Hi everyone... This is my first mail and a chance to say thanks for all the information I have gained from your interesting and informative posts. I have been a lurker for quite a while... dreaming the dream..

But now maybe I can join in. Hope I don't say too much to stupid but I'm have never been a proper forum user till now.

So I put down my money 3 weeks ago for a 991s build slot.... hopefully a September delivery...

I have been on that configurator for weeks ... Its been driving me mad and then I have been driving my chick mad. But I need to get it done and finalised and then can get on with my life again. My OP dealer is back from holiday in a few days and I want to lock it down then.

I have been through every colour, option, interior... Spending way too much.... But below is my final final build...

I will be using the car day to day, tourer and sometimes track day...

911 Carrera S
Jet Black Metallic
Black leather interior
Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
PASM sport suspension (- 20 mm) incl. PDCC
Sport Chrono Package Plus
Sports exhaust system
20-inch 911 Turbo wheel
Wheel spacers, 5mm
Wheel centres
Bi-Xenon-Headlights incl. Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)
Painted headlamp cleaning system cover
SportDesign exterior mirrors
Aluminum window frames
Privacy glass (rear window)
Rear wiper
Sports seats plus, electrical 4 ways
SportDesign steering wheel
ParkAssist front and rear
Cruise control
White instrument dials
Carrara White Sport Chrono clock display
Light design package
Smoking package
Luggage net passenger footwell
Floor mats
Brushed aluminium centre console trim
Brushed aluminium interior package
Stainless steel door sill guards
Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (VTS)
Preparation for mobile phone

I plan to then have the New Car Ultimate Protection Detail from Miracle Detail..

Let me know your thoughts on any of the above....

MANY thanks.

Looks like a very good build, great color but a pita to keep clean, remember, you can and will get lots of opinions here but in the end, you need to be happy and with that,
I would go for atleast 14 way if not 18 way power seats, this is going to be a daily driver, and not sure if the rear wiper is costing you anything, if so then you would only need in bad weather, not sure what you have in beds..
Please post some pictures once your baby comes in and have fun. Congratulation

The seats have been one of those things I have changed so many times.
I like the higher and deeper Sports seats plus, electrical 4 ways to the shallower Sports seats, electrical 14 ways. The Adaptive sports seats plus, electrical 18 ways would be ideal but £2,226 more just for some extra electrics seems to much for my other half to bare...

We need the wiper in Bedfordshire,UK..

Can't wait to take pictures and have fun. Thanks...

I agree that the decision regarding the seats is the most important. My 14 way seats lock me in on hairpins and are fairly easy to exit. Large bolsters are going to show a little more wear. Ever body type is different and the 4 ways may be perfect for you. I like the memory feature that controls so much more than just the seats for the rare occasion my wife shares driving duty.

Thanks... I thought the brushed aluminum and white dials would break up the black nicely..
But I do begrudge paying over £200 for a white chrono clock. What does this clock do? Does anyone use it? It doesn't even point towards the driver.

The passenger can tell the time. Really it is all the other stuff that is tied to it that matters. It is for timing laps while racing. I do not know if it can be deleted if so one could skip the up charge to match it to the dash dials.I do like it because it is one more analog dial but never use it for it's intended purpose.

I'd get rid of turbo wheels and get the CS wheels. IMO they look better. Only the turbo S wheels look the best.

You do know the jet black metallic has slight gold flakes in it. I choose against the black metallic and got the regular black because of this. Plus, in sun light, if you sit right next to a regular black, it looks way too light.
