Squeaky Driver Seat

Got a minor complaint. My driver's seat squeaks constantly with every bump. Anyone else have the same issue? Sounds like it's coming from the right hand side near the controls. Not a peep from the rest of the car.

I have the same thing. I haven't been able to pin-point its exact location.

that was actually very irritating on my Panamera. Thankfully it hasn't been there in my 991.

Well good news is at least the sound is easily repeatable. When I'm sitting in the seat if I lean my leg against the side bolster is squeaks. SQUEEK. SQUEEK. SQUEEK. I noticed it happening right when I picked it up new, but I didn't care because I was so excited to be in it. Well now I care. I want it fixed.

I was able to eliminate the squeaking (emanating from the right bolster) by slightly changing the angle of the seat. So far so good.

I had a squeak that I was able to duplicate on command, took it in to the dealer and requested that my seat get fixed, when I picked it up fixed, I was told that a clip had come undone inside the seat, since it wad there from new, guessing it was from the factory.

I'm going to try that. Can you be specific about where you put the cardboard exactly?

for me the noise came from the area where the electric controls of the seats are. pressing that area around the buttons hard would stop the noise for me. so i jammed some cardboard just under that area on the inside.

ill see later on if i can make a photo for you

Probably not your issue, but my seat belt buckle was chatting a bit rubbing on the seat. I took some high quality black sticky back felt and glued it on. Quiet since.
(There is already felt on the other side of the buckle, so looks stock.)

Okay, this is helpful. I feel like we're narrowing it down.

I took a picture of my seat and circled where the squeaking is generally coming from (the side bolster where my left leg is.)

Did you stuff cardboard between the plastic covering on the side of the seat and the seat frame itself? Or did you just jam a bunch of cardboard under the bottom of the seat?

Squeak still there. Starting to drive me a little crazy. Going to take car in to dealer if there's no easy fix.

Video

Made a video. You can clearly hear the squeak every time I lean my leg against the side bolster at all.

Squeaky seat

I had exactly the same thing too. My car was one of a batch held at dock in San Diego for additional two weeks due to faulty airbag wiring harness. They flew technicians in from Germany to replace. My dealer didn't even tell me. I found out on six speed. About a month ago dealer service removed the seat inspected this area and fouls loose wires and connections rubbing. They put sound deadening foam in this area which has drastically improved it. Still maybe tiny squeak once in a while but not that totally irritating squeak you would get moving your leg up and down. I can't believe these are $140000 cars?
