Anyone have Escort's New Laser Shifter Pro?

Either as part of the Gen 3 installed 9500Ci or as a standalone unit in conjunction with a windshield mount detector?

Recent upgrade by Escort. Many believe Laser Interceptor was the best laser jammer/diffuser on the market. Apparently, Escort found it appropriate to upgrade their shifters. Wondering if Escort's upgrade to Laser Shifter Pro has caught up?

Anyone have it yet? Any comparisons?

Mine is getting installed today, coincidentally enough.

The only thing worse than getting anyone to agree on an ideal build, is getting any agreement on radar/laser systems!

I'm trying the K40 rl360i with their laser jammers. I like their custom installs and have heard great things about it.

We'll see how it goes!

Look at any of the recent Laser Jammers tests done by the various countermeasure sites and do your research. These systems are tested all the time and its clear from testing which ones do not even alert to some laser guns let alone jam them.

You are spending a lot of money so just take some time before investing so much of your hard earned money and do your own research and dont go exclusively on what the shops tell you is best.
Couldnt agree more! I had the 9500ci on my 2005 E55, 2010 C63 and 2012 CSL63 and never got one ticket and it definitely saved me countless times. I went without it for my BMW Ms and was fine, and then, about 3 months ago got pulled over for doing 92 -- also with tints and no plates. And I had red wheels at the time, so it could have been a confluence of events that led to me being pulled over. But I just decided I have too much fun in my 991 -- thereby increasing my risk to get pulled over -- to not get some sort of protection.

I've been told my a friend whose a traffic cop that most of the guys use "instant on" when shooting radar and it's his opinion that radar detectors don't do much since by the time u get the warning, it's game over. Laser Jammers, that's a different story but in my part of the world, it's about 80% radar vs 20% Laser since the cost of the guns are so significantly different.

I/O is one of the things that the 9500CI does not do too well. The Beltronics Sti-R Plus which is the sister product to the 9500CI has the ability to pick up I/O bursts much better.
Assuming they are shooting the radar at another car. But...if they hit u it's game over??

Appreciate the explanation. I was beginning to wonder whether radar detection was even worth the trouble but clearly there is value in having it. The laser jammers seem to be a very effective tool assuming your purchase the correct device(s).

Grunty is infamous around these parts
I was told by my dealer that I couldn't have the parking sensors installed on my car after the fact. They said it would be prohibitively expensive and require a new PCM.
I understand that some laser jammers also double as a parking proximity sensor.
Can you recommend a model that both is a good radar/laser system that can be custom installed that also acts as a parking sensor?

Does anyone have pictures of where the remote radar detectors and laser hammers are mounted on a 991? I've never owned a detector of any sort so I feel hopelessly behind the times!

The laser shifters are mounted on the front. The optional rear one usually is mounted to the license plate frame. The actual radar and laser detectors are mounted behind the front and rear bumpers. The bumpers need to be taken off to do this. Then depending on the make, there are different styles of stealth interior configurations.

Go to the K40 or Escort website and you'll see a lot of installation examples.

I'm currently getting a K40 Radar/Laser detector installed.

Do the laser jammers emit visible light? And if they do, is it on a constant basis or just in bursts as needed?
