Jet black metallic paint code

Hi,

My 991 arrives in September and I have a couple of things I would like to get painted up before it arrives - I can't find a paint code anywhere online for Jet black metallic, could anyone confirm what it is?

Many thanks!

Your dealer, or any body shop should be able to get it by VIN #.

Most good painters want to see the actual car before painting any pieces regardless of the paint code. The codes aren't always exact and a good painter will usually have to tweak the formula to match your specific vehicle.

I'm not sure what pieces you need painted, so location of them might not matter too much.

The new Jet Black Metallic is a great new color! Better than the old Basalt Black Medallic.

I was just getting some paint information at the only Porsche Certified Body shop here in Vancouver. They put in the VIN of the car and the colour that came up was incorrect. It came up Carrera White of the 2012 991 and mine is just "White" which is the 2013 colour. They are different colours and have different paint codes. Your dealer parts department can determine the correct code (that's how I found my correct code) from the VIN. The colour code on your order sheet is not the actual paint code for ordering paint. They are two different codes.

I suggest you go to the dealer and order touch up paint for your car. That should come with the correct paint code for the car (mine did).

I have black and the jet black touch up paint matches quite well. This must be the easiest paint to match.
