Question about PDCC

Let me preface this with an apology for my ignorance. I can't seem to easily find an answer to this question.

Is Porsche dynamic chassis control only active when I push the Porsche active suspension management button on the console?

According to the 2012 service information technical manual, it's always active, but is enhanced by sport+ activation.
