From 911 to Cayman S back to 911 again.

I take exception to your post. I am 70 and would not consider driving any Porsche without manual. My first Porsche was a 1971T, My wife (who is 60 and looks 40) drives a manual Z4M Coupe and once she went manual (10 years ago) would not drive anything else. And well the gay thing...no need for homophobia in posts. I'm sure there are many gay people out there driving manual cars.

If you haven't noticed, manuals are going the way of the dinosaur, so I guess you won't be driving much in the future unless A, B, C or D.

They are Forgestar CF10 in 19"
Love it so far. Has all the typical goodies. Sports/Chrono, PSE, PASM, etc...
guess you'll never own a 991 turbo/s or gt3, etc. then. and ive actually met a guy who only had 1 arm, driving a 996 turbo that was manual. so driving stick with one arm is still possible.
It's all mental, the 981 is in a different league in terms of handling compared to the 997. The 981 is a great car if you don't need the back seats of the 991. The interior of the 981 is no different than a 991. To me there is no compromise between the two. Just whatever suits your needs. The 981 is more fun to drive than the 991.
Those 911s are flat out gorgeous...especially the white one!If you haven't noticed, 911s are headed there, too. Yet, some people still prefer them to 981s for other-than-logical reasons. Hey, kind of like manual transmissions, no? People who prefer manuals are willing to trade a bit of performance for less cost/weight/complexity and a lot of added driving enjoyment. How does that make them "wrong" or "backward"?

I'd respond a little more harshly to you, but I don't think you'd be able to process it.
I'd suggest fellow members to report the lack of brain cells here.
Just hit the "report" button after clicking on the downward arrow and hopefully others feel the same as I do and rid this forum of this manure.

I did a similar thing. I had an Atlas grey 2006 911 S cab. Went to a 2009 Red Cayman S and now my 2012 Midnight blue 911 S cab.
I guess I am a 911 guy too. But the cayman was fun.

I think that you made the right move, plus at least you know in your heart that you have the right Porsche.
On a side note, I thin that 991onthebrain isno longer a member...Like he has been abducted... oOps...
