Seriously, I did have to laugh
Can't judge a book by the cover. Use to have a pinto that looked just as bad only it had one red fender to replace a white one that had fallen off due to rust. Car ran well and would start after sitting at the airport parking after several weeks. We used it to get from the Airport after we flew in to go to our boat for the weekend.
Great fun to see the looks on people faces when we would park next to there high dollar cars when eating a nice restaurants. It was also great for getting around town. Pull up to an intersection in it and people would wave you thought not wanting to challenge such a battle harden vehicle.
Haha wow..I haven't experienced this first hand, but i might of found a solution to this problem. Hope you guys enjoy Small Package Prank by Tom Mabe - YouTube
HAHAHA,
, great solution, Thanks for the laughs!
The nail that sticks out, gets hammered, right?
Want to be treated normally? Park normally. Want to be made into a spectacle? Park in the middle of nowhere.
I see new Camaros, Mustang GTs, even A Hyundai Veloster take up 2, 3, or 4 parking spots, because they think it's the greatest thing ever, and they don't want to mix up their cars with 'normal' cars.
There are people out there who feel a NEED to put individuals who appear to put themselves superior to others in their place. This is why keying happens, stereotypes, etc... There are ways to park. But as in everything in life - there is risk. Some is acceptable risk, to some. Others may not agree.

I thought some of you would relate to this nonsense. It's a first for me; Inever experienced it with my 997 GTS.
I came out of the mall today to find some guy parked right up next to mybrand new C4S with what must have been the biggest Piece of **** at the mall.Check out the lot, there is room all over the place but he had to park evenover the yellow line into my spot. I had to take a photo as this behavior is sopuzzling. No damage, I wondered if they were around watching for a big reaction. Ijust snapped a couple photos and left. It's all you can do.

Yeah right ... Happened to cross the parking lines to get super close too I suppose??
I'd like to see your face if it was your car.
Had to laugh but obviously very bothered. It's not the act, but the pretentiousness that's most disturbing here. I do pick my spaces carefully, but mostly so they're uphill of any wandering shopping carts which aren't returned to the pen (which would be quite a few these days thanks to lazy effing Americans). But you're right, I wouldn't be happy about it. But as soon as I was on my way again it's forgotten about. And I certainly don't want to relive it over and over.
So true, same here.
He hunts, camps, etc..., and that is his daily beater. He never crowds anyone, but - he likes his 'spot'. Although your statement is a stretch, it isn't outside the realm of possibility. Your premise is right, though - making assumptions can get us into trouble.
I do agree, however, that this is copy-cat behavior from the Jeep/Vette fallout.
