Porsche has done an outstanding job to keep increasing the performance level with each evolutionary step. Why mess with the balance they've achieved? If you want more power, you bought the wrong car. Buy the power you want. Notice I didn't say buy the power you need. No one needs more power than these cars offer. I've always believed more power makes for lazy drivers. As an alternative if you want more power, spend more time at the redline. My biggest complaint with the 991 is that you have a limited tire selection. There aren't any extreme performance options like the Bridgestone RE-11. You're stuck with Michelin or Pirelli max performance tires, or Pirelli and Continental track tires which won't last long with a 80 UTQG rating. Cheers!!
I'm with you. My 991S has more than enough power for me. No complaints. I'm always thinking about tinkering with something. Maybe leave well enough alone.

Maybe track lessons would be a better investment!

One exception might be exhaust, at least for the Turbo. The too quiet exhaust is the only fault I find with my TTS. I had the GMG sport exhaust installed, not for more power, but for a rowdier tone.

There maybe some power bump involved with the exhaust, although I don't care about that. In Atlanta, you can only go as fast as the guy in front of you! But, now I love how my 911 sounds as well as performs.

Too bad there was not a valved exhaust option with the TTS from the factory.

HotHonda,

This link will take you to another board that I frequent. The OP of the linked thread did a very scientific, dyno-verified study of several intakes on his 981 BS. The IPD plenum didn't do so well. It turns out that the ECU senses the extra intake volume and closes the throttle plate until it gets the numbers it is expecting. I'm not sure if the 3.8L works the same way but his gains were very minimal.
