I have not experienced this. If your pads were getting low enough to cause a problem your sensor should have alerted you. Do you have any shimmy in the wheel when braking?

Pads are good, sounds similar when you washed the car and the rotors get some rust, not crazy loud

Thanks for everyone's input. The dealer did indeed replace my front brake pads at no cost and the noise is gone. My girlfriends 2012 991 S makes the same noise but the dealer said only non S cars are covered on this service bulletin.

The dealer replaced my brakes for free when my brakes wouldn't stop squeaking for 8k miles every time I used the brakes. Problem never came back thankfully. 2014 non-S model.

Angry 991 Brake Squeal

Hey Guys....I had a really bad squeal on my brakes and just over this weekend I replaced my rotors and pads with stock Porsche rotors and pads. Broke them in going 60 MPH and braking to 40mph a few times....stopping from high speed is fine, but when im rolling around in traffic and I stop, I sound like a freaking school bus......

I read everyone else's comments above and it seems normal, just annoying. Any other ideas before I spray WD-40 on my brake pads to make the noise go away? (Kidding)

Thanks in advance

Go further than 40mph, like down to 5-10mph. Try this several times to see if it helps. I have the Brembo brakes and 3rd party pads and it squeaks, not as loud as Pagids, but noticeable.
