Replaced shark gills
My only interest was ordering the PN, for the all black grill and it wasn't available... But I'm satisfied with the 50th..
You started posting about other platforms and I wanted to be clear it was not what I had posted pictures of..
I'll leave it to you to play expert on all the rest for those interested..

Just trying to be helpful to those that like this style grill. Not trying to play expert, even though I know what I'm talking about!
IF someone is looking for an all black version it comes on the new GTS (yes the 911) and should be available to order soon. Better for the no chrome look.
The one you put on is the grill off the 50th Anniversary model.

Just making it clear to those who may want more info.

Got burned a couple of times by suncoast getting the wrong part, so I found other part OEM part sources that I can order by PN that work better for me and usually find the prices a little better anyway. Especially for basic stuff like Oil Filters and Air filters... In the case of the grill it was about $45 less

Sorry Brad, realize I only partially answered your question... The grill is plastic and colored black (kind of a matt) except for the chrome tips..
I think it is intended to be black. I suppose you could easily paint it another color if you were so inclined.

Different subject, but one of the reasons I don't typically buy anything from Suncoast is that they won't put actual part numbers in their catalog (they only have their catalog PNs).. So you never really can double check (against PIWIS) that what you are ordering is actually what you expect. I've never had anything but great service from them, but over the past year they have been less competitive on some of their parts. I've gotten lower prices from the local dealership and other dealers that ship out of state. I always shop around.
It's too expensive not to.
They don't put part numbers on the site because they do a lot of work putting together the selections they have and don't want to make it too easy for others to benefit from that. Not saying it's right/wrong.

With respect to Sun-coast, yeah I certainly do understand why they do it.. But at the same time I posted my comment because I think they should also realize that they also lose customers as well. I personally like to support businesses that are trusted sponsors up to the point where I have a reason not to. In my case, I do a lot of research and know what I'm getting so I don't have to ship stuff back. So this kind of behavior is a deal breaker for me. In my case I would probably buy a couple thousand $'s of stuff a year from them but don't... if I'm the only one who feels that way, no big loss.. I suspect I'm not the only one however.
A suggestion might be to show the real part numbers when parts are put into the shopping cart. That way they can avoid most of the bargain hunters but not **** off knowledgeable people who want to know exactly what they are buying.
Doesn't really matter to me anyway as I don't buy from them anymore for the above reasons, so just a suggestion to Suncoast if they care to use it as a datapoint (Rarely do customers tell you why they didn't buy from you). This is especially important when your prices aren't all that competitive with all of the other on line dealers. (But I agree their catalog is nice).

Agree, it's good to shop around given the expense. But I don't mind paying a few $'s more for a reliable and trusted supplier. Same reason I tend to buy stuff from Amazon and don't try to find for a few buck less.. I like ordering and knowing it will be correct and show up on my door step a couple days later With respect to Sun-coast, yeah I certainly do understand why they do it.. Yeah I did that at first... But I don't like having to call when buying things... I just consider it an extra unnecessary hassle .. and gravitate elsewhere..
Don't get me wrong sun coast I think is a reputable and helpful vendor.. My comments are just intended to indicate they are leaving money on the table.. And I know I'm not unique in this sense as I've had this discussion with a couple other guys..

I think Sonnen Porsche in California has good prices on parts. They have been lower than SunCoast on items a couple times. I checked Suncoast vs Sonnen on Center Lock Wheel Caps (chrome with gold crest). SunCoast was $60 each and Sonnen was $52 each. Sonnen was also about $40 less for the alloy PDK dead pedal/brake and throttle pedal set than SunCoast.
