question for wheel offset experts

I am in the process of ordering a C4S and am between the carrera S wheel and the sport techno wheel. I noticed that the width of the rear wheel is different and that there is no spacer offered with the sport techno wheel. Does this mean that the amount of the wheel well filled by a carrera s wheel WITH spacer would be equal to that of the sport techno wheel alone?

Any one with photos of the sport techno wheel in black and silver combo would be very helpful.....

thanks.

The AWD 911 is almost two inches wider than the 2WD version.

The Sport Techno wheels designed for the 4 are 11.5" wide (+48 rear offset). Because of the additional vehicle width, the offset is adjusted and no spacer is required.

Typically, if wheels are the same width, but different offsets, a higher offset will make the wheel "sink into" the car, towards the struts while a lower offset will make them "stick out" from the fender.

Short answer: Yes, the Sport Techno wheels designed for AWD 991s will have a similar appearance as the Carrera S wheels do on a 2WD 991.

Hope this helps.

*data and numbers were pulled from Suncoast parts (wheel width and offset) and Porsche website (vehicle width).

Um, this is not correct. Direct from Suncoast's site... the offsets differ due to the wide body on the 4/4S. To answer the original question my understanding is yes, the wider Sport Techno wheels + offset difference should roughly equal the Carrera S + space in terms of fitment.

Carrera S wheel/tire package:

The Carrera S rear wheels for the 4WD models has a greater offset than the ones for the RWD models. Am continuously envious.
