DC auto show...The worst!
I would've thought it would be pretty clear what I was talking about. Obviously the US government isn't too friendly towards the whole automotive industry. The concentration of higher than avg. gov't jobs around DC has been well documented and noted as well. I meant nothing offensive towards the car fans from the area. I like Porsche owners (95% of the time) wherever they are : )
I meant no harm in the reply either.
I'm just slow to catch on.
I guess I'm still angry about the ticket money that flew into thin air.
Funny thing happened.
Went to the front to ask for one and there was an old guy asking for a AAA discount. I told him to hang onto his $2 savings cuz the most exciting part of the show were the people selling die cast models.

Porsche hasn't been at the car show for almost 10 years now. I go every year and it just gets worse and worse. Probably skipping this year.
It's a damn shame because i was in high school when i went to that auto show and met a regional Porsche sales rep who sent me a ton of promotional material after the fact. It cemented my desire to buy a 911 when I got out of college.

Come out to Fair Lakes 8-10 Sundays! https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-s-thread.html
Car shows, with the rare exceptions, are just a place for manufacturers and dealers to show off the cars which the masses want to buy. The Phoenix show is just a trade hall full of dealerships so you buy a new accord ex for the price of a civic. Remember, it's just business. The media shows are LA, Detroit, and a couple others in lesser importance.
