First real look!
I usually wait till I see the final car to comment on looks because some of the cars are heavily camo'ed. But I am not a fan of the rear, not hippy enough, and don't like the vertical rear grill either, makes the car look narrower. Now I'll wait and see what it really looks like.

I agree about the lights. All part of my problem with the rear.
Also in that interior photo I see what looks to be an 'active aero' button for front and rear. I wonder if they're including some Turbo-active aero bits.
Also heard some interesting info today at dealer:
Carrera to be 2.7 liter - 400 hp
Carrera S to be 3.4 liter- upwards of 440 hp - and if it has 400 ft-lb of torque that will be one nasty little beast.

Is this confirmed? And if so, how will that play into the upcoming models? I'm assuming 2016s will remain NA, while the 2017 model will be the 991.2 with the turbo engine...
I think 2016 will be a small window and then refreshed cars will be sold As 2016 /991.2 by end of year or 2017s in early 2016
My guess would be 380-390 horses for carerra and 430-440 for S( these engines will be usually carried over for 992 in 2019/2020 with a mix of hybrid as additional engine option)
Interesting would be torque , may be 350 lb ft for carerra and 390 lb ft for S due to turbos
It will be interesting to know what the real numbers would be and if there are any handling improvements etc

My guess is that the NA cars will be built along side the new turbo 991.2's at same time near the end of this year.
With 440 hp and about 390-400 ft-lb - they may require it go to AWD, therefore merging the S with the 4S- and giving you the widebody too. That would be nasty with PDK and PDCC.

I don't mind the front, but I really dislike what they did with the tail lights. What's with Porsche messing with perfection? I had a similar reaction with the 997.1 -> 997.2 tail lights. They really messed that up.
The front end in one of the videos looks weird, and the rear taillights looks even weirder.
FWIW, my dealer rep said that 991.2s will be hitting showrooms in December. Take that with a grain of salt, but there.

Count me among those that like it...looks like active aero shutters on front grilles for improved efficiency. And I could hear the turbos too. Doesn't sound bad. For another 65 ft-lb of torque, I'll take it.
