Brake fluid capacity question...

I'm changing fluid from ATE Gold to Motul 600. I assume it's not going to be obvious when the old fluid is completely flushed. I hate to leave old fluid in but I would hate even more to waste the expensive new Motul.

Does anyone know what the 991S brake fluid capacity is?

I would get as much of the old stuff removed from the master cyl as possible and just bleed about 3-4 ounces from ea caliper starting at right rear. That is what I have always done with no issues.

Correct. Use a new turkey baster. Do the farthest away cylinders first. And don't forget, there is a bleed valve on each side of each caliper set. 8 brake valves total, plus clutch if u have one.

Curious if there's an issue with not "opening" or "cycling" the ABS system via the electronics while bleeding.

Does anyone know if the dealers do anything with the ABS when bleeding the system?

Yes, this is pretty much the process I use. I change my fluid fairly frequently due to track days. But since this was a brand change I wanted to be doubly sure I get the old brand out. I just have never seen the total capacity listed anywhere.

sdaddy: I have never had any ABS issues. I use a Motive power bleeder attached to the master cylinder.

Clutch uses the same fluid as the brakes? Where's the one for the clutch? Thanks
