Black Wheels

....and silver wheels haven't been overdone?
I have had Black wheels before on other Porsches. I think they look great on black yellow red and even white cars, but not on silver cars. I have a 2015 GT silver GTS with Black wheels that looked good to me when I ordered them. I do not like them at all, and as soon as i save up some bread I am getting away from them. So, personal taste. That's all it is, Right??

I was worried about how a dark wheel would look on my black car, but with the lip and the fact that the wheel is more of a grey color I think it turned out much nicer
I would say you shouldn't get them then. But I don't think it makes you an authority just one with another opinion. I don think Porsche thinks they are over yet since they continue to show black on upgraded cars both in 5 and center lug. Take a look at he new GTS.
Wouldn't it be terrible if we were all the same. This way no one is really the authority on "what's in or right" as it is ever changing. But you don't have to own them. By the way most GM and Ford cars I see are silver.

I never said I was the "authority." I am not certain how you ever came to that conclusion from my post. I was simply stating my opinion, which we are all entitled to do. I do agree that it is good to have options and choices, especially the options that will eliminate some of the dubious design elements that Porsche tries to shove down our throats. The GTS, which you mentioned, is a perfect example of this, with all the incongruent black bits on it. Fortunately, most of them can be replaced with other options so they can be eliminated from a custom ordered GTS.

I know I am in the minority about not liking the "black bits" on the GTS. However, I do not denigrate those who like them. Unfortunately, I get a some snarky comments thrown at me for not liking them. Those GTS owners seem to take my comments personally, as if I am criticizing them, so they come back with some childish, derogatory comment about me or my car. I guess that makes them feel better about themselves.
Agreed, and I am OK with that. Varying opinions concerning option and design preferences make having choices the perfect solution. Don't get me wrong, I really like and appreciate what Porsche has done with the upgraded mechanicals on the GTS. I don't like the default aesthetic configuration. I simply conveyed some of my experiences when I disagree with others on a topic. I enjoy having civil debates on various topics because I usually learn something from other people's point of view. While I may not agree with the other people's opinions, I can, and do, respect them and their opinions. Unfortunately, that same level of respect is not always shared or reciprocated by some of the people on the other side of the debate.
