Although I had a good experience with tire insurance I am not inclined to purchase an extended warranty.
The Michelin tires are cheaper, have a higher tread wear rating and are quieter I don't track the car
Yes I have no plans to sell it

... looking through my service records i realized that I failed to mention a brake fluid change last year at the two year mark. Don't know if it was needed, but it was less than $200 and I seem to recall it was called for in the maintenance schedule...so i had it done
good luck on another 50k. Don't drive mine in the winter. I think the MPSS are great tires also, put them on my 2010 Cayman S, a lot quieter tire and better wear.
Was about to ask about the brake fluid. Great writeup. Overs the years I too have become a detailing OCD person. Had vettes for years and showed them, got good at detailing. Just a lot of work and it's all about the details.

As far as tire noise, I live in Pennsylvania. Every tire is noisy as every road is abysmal.
Great write up! I just hit 27K and I have had no issues at all. I would like ask you about your "acquired a washing, claying, and waxing fetish" What brand of clay/wax do you use? Car looks great. Mine being black could use a good clay bar.
thanks!
thanks!

I recommend frequent claying. I use Meguires and Griot speed shine.
black is not a car color, it is a profession which requires frequent practice Agate Gray generally looks great even when a little dirty. I can't tell you how it looks real dirty because it's always clean (hence my fetish)

Great pics and great write up ... I'd love to say I put that kind of miles on my car, picked it up 2 months before you and only have 9k miles.
Thanks for the updates and btw agree about the brake fluid change ... Never thought to do it but the dealer pretty much told me it's something you REALLY should do ... So I did.
I'm surprised you're not gong for an extended warranty ...
