GT3 production

Is the GT3 still in production?

My dealer is trying to steer me to a used one at $9k over MSRP on the grounds that they stop producing them and there isn't any more allocation for new ones.

I have a feeling the guy is "misinformed" though it may be their allocation is sold out for the foreseeable future.

dmz is infamous around these parts
There is usually a 1 model year pause for the GT3 during the LCI switchover. So the next production GT3 should be MY 2017 starting production in late 2016. If you can't wait this long, a used 2015 is the way to go.

I was told by my dealer there will be no 2017 models which is consistent with past GT3 runs (2 years per model ver)

991.2 GT3 to come in 2017 as a 2018 model

I was told no 2016. So are we saying no 2016 or 2017? That would explain why these trade above MSRP used.

from what he told me 2017 models will be available later in 2016, and that it will be a run of 2 years, which i guess makes sense if you look at GT3 production in the past

997.1 - 2007 & 2008
997.2 - 2010 & 2011
991.1 - 2014 & 2015

So my educated guess on 991.2 GT3 will be 2017 & 2018

They are still making them. Mine will be built in early Dec. I'm told my car will be near the end of production. It's a 2016 YM.
