What's the advantages of 911 R?

 

The "R" stands for Really expensive.

500 HP NA engine with a manual in a "regular" Carrera body.... sign me up!

 

Instant collector. No telling how much those things are worth down the road.

 

This is the 911 I always dreamed of and asked myself why Porsche didn't make. I only wish it were actually available to most of us.

 

This is exact the car i am looking for ;-)
Till the end of the year i know whether i will get one,

P.S. I think they just set a new world record for the number of variants squeezed out of one model.

 

Agreed. My guess is 2x in 5 years when the manual and normally aspirated 911s are no longer offered by Porsche.

 

They are only making 500 and 918 buyers have the right of first refusal. So don't plan on getting one.

 

This. It's going to be a hell of a machine, but I didn't think it would be worth cancelling a GTS allocation in hopes of landing a 911R anytime soon.
