The symposer sound is from the intake manifold alone. The PSE sound is from the exhaust system. You can put a sock in the symposer tube and PSE will still sound louder than non PSE- and as the engine is mapped (with Sport Chrono at least) to get a bit of extra fuel on overrun it generates more of the vintage popping sounds.


Porsche makes no claims about PSE giving more HP or torque- but your foot may generate the revs to get both cause its so much fun.

+1. PSE is a completely different center muffler IIRC. Regardless, it's definitely louder than a non-PSE car. I had my symposer valve blocked and the increased volume from outside was still noticeable. It's a proper exhaust system.
