Window tint from factory?

I recently picked up a new to me 2012 C2. One of the things in my list was window tint. However upon seeing the car it seemed like it came with some sort of tint from the factory.

I typically prefer the lightest tint possible - around 50%. Mostly do it to block the UV rays. The question is - is this already accomplished by the factory tint? Does anyone know the specs of that tint, or am I just imaging things?

If you bought a used car, maybe it was previously tinted. The windows do have some tint from the factory. If you are interested in tint to block the UV rays, don't waste your money. The glass itself blocks most of the UV rays, without any tint. Have you noticed that you can ride in your car all day long in the sun with windows up and not get a sunburn. Or, if you have Transitions automatically tinting eye glasses, notice that they tint very little (almost none at all) when in the car with windows up. UV rays make the glasses tint. Step outside of the car and the glasses will tint immediately.

Glass will block the shorter wavelength UVB but not UVA which is a longer wavelength.
Just like sunblocks which are mainly UVB blockers and poor UVA blockers.
The SPF number relates to UVB only.
UVB causes sunburn
Although you may not sunburn but the damage of UVA over time will increase your risk of skin cancer and photo aging

When in the showroom I attempted to look at other cars to see if what I perceived as a light tint was just on my car, and I thought all of the new Porsches had a similar look. However in either case I'll probably just stick with what I have.
