Interior panel removal

I need some help. Yesterday the attic access panel fell down on the rear fender of my 911. Where it hit on the Porsche it made a scuff in the paint that I was able to buff out. It also made a dent next to the rear window and spoiler in the rear fender. I would like to know how to remove the interior panel to see if I or the dent wizard can get at it to push it back out.

I don't know if you can see the dent in the picture but this gives you an idea of where it is. Thanks for any help that first scratch or dent really is a bummer.

I'm sure if you contact a dent repair shop, one that works on high end vehicles, would be experienced with removing the panel and repairing the dent. Contact your local dealer and see if they have any recommendations.

Sorry to hear. Yeah, the first one is always the worst. Hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like the dent is near the rear glass on the quarter panel. There is a panel right under the rear glass that pull right out. Once that panel is removed, it may provide enough room for the dent wizard to to the dent and fix. Here is pics of the panel removed, and once you see it and compare to the inside rear of you car, you will understand. Give it a good pull and it will come out. Once you get that piece out, you may be able to remove the other pieces if you have to. Hope this helps.

Thanks, will try that in the morning. I just hope it is not double skinned at that point. If it isn't then I'm share that a dent repair service can fix it. If is then I would guess that it would have to go to the body shop. I shure hope not.

Took the panels off this morning and it is gusited and can get to the dent from the back side. I have heard of people getting the dent out using suction cups. Anyone know if that might work? Thanks for the help in getting the panels off.

Get a good dent less repair guy and you will never know it happened. Don't attempt on your own if you're guessing how to do it. Just more work and pain later.

It won't hurt to try but you probably be wasting your time. I have tried it in the past (not on Porsche) - it may get some of it out but doubt it will get all of it out. IMHO, you are better off going to dent wizard.

I took the Porsche to a dent removal shop in Jacksonville. He did a fantastic job. The dent is gone and it looks like nothing ever happened. While I was there had him take a door ding out of the drivers door of my wife's Tiguan. And once again looks like it was never there.
