You actually have an allocation? My understanding is that although the R is on the configurator, all 991 copies were accounted-for long time ago. Primarily offered to the 918 owners first.... Very jealous if you're on that list!

But to answer your question -- I actually spec'd a 911R in GT Silver on the configurator but that is a pipe dream only!!

yes. . I have put down my name on the list mid last year when The rumours starts. We don't have 918 problem in our country, cause there is no RHD 918 available at all. My friend in Japan has also got the allocation yesterday, but he get forced to buy another car as part of deal.

And I have submitted my spec yesterday. It's a GTsliver with green strip & side decal, black rim and clear tail light ....I'm so exciting to see the car.

That's very exciting news. I would not hesitate about pulling the trigger on GT Silver at all. It's a gorgeous color that I ignored for a long time.

But, I specced it on my GTS and haven't looked back since. It's a very rich color and it would match the 911R, too.

Just got email from the dealership, there are three more colours available, but won't show at configuration which is black, lava orange and racing yellow!

Thoughts are ?

I would call GT Silver a timeless color, and an outstanding choice.

Congratulations! You are the first non 918 owner other than CJ Wilson of the Angels I have heard of who has been given an allocation. Its funny they say it is an enthusiast car, but very few enthusiasts have been able to procure one. Wish they would have made it a regular production model.

It's ridiculous given how much publicity they're giving to r and it's not even available without allocation

You could paint a 1981 Reliant K in GT Silver and it would look good.
