Most people here don't think so, but you can't be sure unless you try it. Suncoast is selling parts and allowing returns with restocking fee.

Awesome. I will buy one and give it a shot, I have. An amazing AV team that will mod the harness if that's all it would take, not sure about the units software integration etc. guess will see.

Keep us updated. CarPlay is fantastic and being able to retrofit would be huge. Some people have gone aftermarket but I'm not a fan of non-OEM head units.

Just got off the Phone with SunCoast, NO GO! there is 4 different Screens, and Different Headunits Behind the screen, She also said there is like 30 different part numbers depending on the Car configuration. this is above me and will have to wait for the right solution down the road, or if i win lots of Money, i can always buy a new one :-)

I wouldn't underestimate third parties when it comes to a retrofit. The BMW world is currently on its third generation of iDrive systems: CCC, CIC, and most recently NBT. Officially these are in no way retrofitable. Unofficially, people have figured out how to retrofit each of these systems to any previous generation. It's not easy or cheap, often involving piggyback modules on the harness or some sketchy grey market coding, but it has been done and DIY kits are available.

Granted, it's much more worthwhile for third parties to work on BMW infotainment retrofits since it's a significantly larger market. But given enough time I wouldn't be surprised if a solution pops up for the newest PCM as well.

OR...Just buy an aftermarket headunit, which are typically leaps and bounds better than OEM stuff
