Hello,

I got AWE exhaust installed and computer reprogrammed to recognize PSE functionality at the dealer (to 991.1 S non-PSE).

Valves open in Sport and Sport Plus modes and close in normal mode.

Subsequently, I purchased center control assembly and got it installed.
However, although all the buttons work, PSE button does not work.

I tried all configurations and confirmed that there is no PSE button slot in the assembly.

My question: Can a P-car technician reprogram the module to assign PSE exhaust valve functionality to a specific slot in the control assembly?
My assumption was that as my car is programmed to recognize PSE and that the valves do work with sport and sport+ modes, the PSE button would be plug & play.

It's not plug and play. The tech has to reprogram the PCM. I did the same thing and tech tried short cutting the reprogramming and it didn't work. He said he had to reprogram the whole switch console and the PSE was through the A/C module.

That is my recollection.

 

YUP. Only use it though in the neigborhood.

 

I know I'm reviving an old thread, but I have a similar issue/question:

My Sport+ mode does not seem to fully open the valves on my 991.1 PSE. I am all stock PSE and tune. It seems like I have to take it to the dealer or a shop? Any idea why it seems to only partially open the valves? TIA
